Buy a car online and you cut out the middle man – there’s no dealer to talk to and no forecourt to browse.

More and more dealers are using this opportunity to sell certain models at special online rates – and you could save thousands of pounds if you know where to look.

A recent study found online car buyers could save an average of 11 per cent off the price of a new car.

The cars with the best online prices

Auto Trader’s New Cars Homepage is your one-stop shop for the latest and greatest new car deals. A quick search found the following bargains:

• Vauxhall Corsa1.2i 16V Club 3dr – £7,504 – save £2,270
• Fiat Grande Punto– £6,495 – save £2,250
• Nissan Qashqai– £12,100 – save £1,899

It pays to look around. Search for the car you want and use an online broker to get the best possible quote on a new car.

Many dealers sell cars directly from their websites, and some also include better finance deals online. However not all cars are cheaper to buy online.
